The design house of Antonio Puig came to be in 1914. Antonio an art lover incorporated his namesake company and began to lead the fragrance and cosmetic market. Antonio Puig created the first lipstick in Spain.
Following takeover by Antonio's four sons, the Puig house began to expand into both broader markets and social circles, first signing a deal with Paco Rabanne in 1960. Twenty years later they teamed up with Carolina Herrera, signing on the famous designer to create and market all Puig fragrances. Next to insure quality they opened there pefumery and cosmetics laboratories. The Puig Group then teamed up with Antonio Banderas during the celebrity fragrance craze of the 1990s, and design houses Nina Ricci, Comme des Garcons and Prada to ensure their presence in the fragrance and cosmetics industry. With the best people by their sides, Puig remains synonymous with innovation and quality well into the new millenium.
